Water week

We will start with an update on Isaac. We went to the Dr.'s for his 5 year old checkup. Isaac is 47 inches tall which puts him at 3'11 (Thanks Clark) and the 100% for his age. Tell me how he can be the 100%? Does that mean he is the tallest kid in the world? Only two more feet and he has caught up to me and I am 23 years older than him. He is 50 lbs which means holding him is next to impossible. That is not to say he doesn't try to be held all the time. He starts Kindergarten the first week of Septemeber. He will be going full day 5 times a week. Ask me how I'm doing with that. Having a hard time here. My baby is growing up and I'm hyperventilating. He is going to love it so I will try to hold back the tears on the first day.
Micah was measured and weighed at Isaac's checkup because he didn't want to be left out. He was 41 inches tall. Yeah you read right, 6 inches shorter than Isaac. Yeah they are 2 1/2 years apart. The Nurse told me that Micah's height would most likely be off the percentile chart. He was 37 lbs and a little easier to pick up but not much. He is starting Preschool in September and is looking forward to having more alone time with mommy. The terrible two's are still clinging to him but I am hoping the magic 3rd birthday will cure him instantly. Here's to hoping!

Yesterday we went to the Ocean with My mother in law Ruth and sister in law Beth. The ocean always amazes me when I go. The concept of how big it is is hard to grasp. The boys had a ball. We jumped waves, looked for crabs, shells, and sea slugs, ate good food, and chased seagulls. We sure are lucky to live so close to so many fun things. Oh and Ruth asked Isaac how much he loved her..... Yeah she got a 10. Parents just can't compete with Grandparents. I'm going to go sulk now.

We need some pictures of the boys next to adult sized people. Also, you said Isaac is 47 inches or 3'9". Those numbers don't line up. 47" = 3'11". I'm just trying to grasp how large they are.

You have got BIG boys, my friend! I love your writing, Natalie. You are hilarious. Every time I visit your blog I find myself giggling or snickering or straight-up laughing out loud. Thanks for making me smile!

Hope you snap out of sulking soon. Grandparents are always best-loved. That's a fact of life. It's because they never have to say NO. :P

Wow, E. and I. truly have a crazy bond. I guees that they were truly born under the same star. She had her appt a month late, but she weighed 47 lbs and is 46" tall. Her "percentage" was 95%.
Happy kindergarten!
