I crossed the Yellow line mamma!

Tonight I tried to teach Isaac and Micah a little more about Football. We were watching the Saints and Cardinals play and usually the boys won't pay attention because of course they can't sit long enough to get into it. As you all may know, I am a huge football fan. If I had been a guy I would have gone Pro I'm sure of it! So I found a way to engage the boys.... make it a video game. I pulled the Game cube controllers out and Isaac, Micah and I started controlling the players. Isaac and Micah Chose the Cardinals and I was the Saints (yes totally fitting don't you think?). Isaac tried to throw and run the ball across the yellow line and I would try to tackle and vise verse. It worked for 20 minutes. If you know my boys well enough, that is an eternity in Lambert world. In the end Isaac figured out he couldn't actually manipulate the players and lost interest but at least he now knows that crossing the yellow line is one of the objects. I have great hopes for my boys and sports. It is the only way Ben and I will live to see our 40th birthdays. (it feels like a mack truck when they tackle you!)

Hahahahaha!!!!! You really crack me up. I would have been laughing watching them "Play." Seriously, though, I don't think I'll ever let my lightweight play against your trucks in football. Ever! He'll get creamed! But I'll sure cheer them on when it comes time.
