Following the Prophet, Star wars, and a Triboni?

If you haven't heard, Noah's ark was spotted down the street from us this weekend. That's right, the rains came down and the floods came up! While we whiled away the days in our personal ark we all had important jobs. Mom and Dad threatened all weekend that we were moving, Micah wanted to play in the "puddles", and Isaac.... well he kept us all entertained.

.This is in Tewksbury just down the way.
These were in Wilmington and Bedford which are two towns right next to us.

Now to explain the title. We all had a lazy Sunday. First we went to church and were drenched just from walking from the car to the doors. Ben even dropped us off at the door. Still drenched. Ben is one of Isaac's new Primary teachers. While I was in helping Micah with Sunbeams the Primary began singing Follow the Prophet and if any of you have been in Primary you know it is a favorite. They mumble through the verse but when the chorus comes they certainly belt it out. Well we get to the end of the chorus and the last word is way. All of a sudden I hear a loud voice holding the word for probably 3 seconds after everyone else has stopped. chuckling I turn around to see which child it is and of course it is Isaac. His Dad still laughs till he cries when we talk about it. I heard he was very consistent and does it each time they sing the chorus.

When we got home Isaac and I ended up on my bed watching Star Wars. He spent most of the time with his mouth open drooling. Ok not drooling but he thought it was pretty cool. He kept asking me where all of these planets were. "Mom is that Mars?" "No honey that is the planet Tatoone." "where is Tatoone? We don't have a planet called Tatoone." "Yes I know it is pretend, just a movie." "So is it far away?" "well I guess but it's only pretend." "I want to go there, it looks cool."  and so on and so forth. With each new planet I would receive the same questions. His dad has now DVR'd all of them so we can watch them constantly. Oh goody. (does anyone else think Anakin is the worst actor alive?)

Lastly I have a challenge for you. What do you think a Triboni is? I will tell the story and then you have to guess what it is. Isaac came into my room and Ben and I were on the bed watching Star Wars and brought us said object. (I) "Mom Micah took away my other Triboni." (Me)"Your what?" (I) "my Triboni mom." (Ben)"Isaac this is a ......." (I) "Oh okay" (B) "Isaac why do you call this a Triboni?" "Uhm, cause I didn't know what it was called."

So there you have it. What is the mystery Triboni? The winner gets dinner on me!

Is it a Triceratops? (Tri-bony?)

I had a blast subbing in primary and teaching those verses. I thought the kids would judge me because I'm not as cool as Jen, but I guess I did okay. :)

Yes! let the Starwars Fanatacism begin! I am happy to have finally found my first Padawan :D and follow the prophet was my first favorite primary song as well. P.S. still hoping that I will be out there this summer.

I was thinking about Joey from "Friends," but that's not really his last name. . .I can't even imagine what it really was. . .

The kids who sing like Isaac in primary make my calling worth it every Sunday. I get the best seat in the house during singing time!
