1st DAYS of school

Because of some weird ritualistic craziness that New Englanders follow Isaac went to school two days the week before Labor Day. Yup, Wednesday and Thursday he went back to school and then had Friday and Monday off. Don't get me started on school districts and their weird days off and holidays! But he was so excited to start 1st grade. He decided that the day he went back to school meant that he turned 7 years old. It was hard to persuade him that he had to wait until next July. He loves his class so far and has been able to stay in the Regular Ed class almost the whole day.

Micah started Pre-K again on Tuesday and loves it just as much as last year. He was very upset when the van came to pick Isaac up the week before and he didn't get to go. Two good days with mommy all to his self and I think he got over it. It surprises me how much easier one child at a time is. He is in the same PDD class as last year with the same teachers. He will however be starting to go into the regular preschool class for different activities. Here's hoping for success. He's a handful but very eager to learn.

(yes those are our pumpkins from our garden. Because of the hot weather they are already ripe! Oh well guess we will have to buy some for Halloween.)
