Apple picking

In a most Patriotic way, Massachusetts gets Columbus day off! Nanny Nanny Boo Boo to all of you who don't. Never mind that he didn't actually discover North America, or that  it was by pure accident! Hurrah for mistakes! Did you know that Columbus died on my birthday. It's a little known fact! Anyway, since Ben doesn't work for the government, he didn't have it off but took the day anyway. We went to one of a thousand apple farms in the area with his sister Heather and her family. We had fun picking the "end of season" apples. More ended up in the kids belly's than in the bag. I do have to admit that apples back here are my favorite. Washington State....... sorry, Johnny Appleseed came from out here. You just can't compete.
