Mid-week miscelanea

  • We got a new car. It's a Honda Pilot. It's from Vermont, which probably explains it's questionable personal hygiene and constant blathering about the benefits of state-run health care.
  • Isaac collected all of the mushrooms from our yard, placed them in a toy truck and hung a sign on the truck saying: "Don't Touch. p.s. Please don't touch."
  • When the boys found a snake in the back yard this past weekend they did what any reasonable person would do: made a "snake killer" out of scrap wood pieces and about eight thousand nails, put sauce pots on their heads for protection and went forth to cleanse our yard of all unwanted creatures. Needless to say the snake is likely alive and doing just fine.
  • We have harvested 4 carrots from the garden, making this by far our most productive gardening season yet. If I get a single red tomato this year I may retire from gardening forever so I can go out on top.

Thank you for the MA update. There's lots to be said about going out on top. So did the snake become a friend after its escape? Or has it remained a foe? And if so, is it still being hunted? Love from Boise, A
