Mommy's boo-boo foot

So I sprained my ankle last week. I fell asleep in our new chair (see previous blog) and the UPS man, who knocks like a serial killer trying to get through your door, woke me up. Well really he startled me awake and my foot was asleep and I guess I landed on my foot wrong when I fell down. I was still half asleep when I finally realized I was on the floor. I was like "what am I doing on the floor?" So I tried to get up and fell on my ankle again. When I finally woke up I hopped to the door and the UPS man was already gone. Thank goodness he left the box. Anyway let me tell you how awful it is to have a sprained ankle with two very active boys. IT IS REALLY AWFUL HAVING A SPRAINED ANKLE WITH TWO VERY ACTIVE BOYS!!!! Ok, whew, that felt good. My boys have noticed I am not up to my normal speed and sometimes they take advantage but most of the time the just look at me like, "could you hurry up please. I'm on a time schedule!" So if you can avoid getting a sprained ankle I would recommend it. I really hate it.

Oh man, that is definitely not good. My kids take advantage of me whenever I"m on the couch nursing, so I bet if I acquired some injury they'd be doing the same thing. i hope it gets better fast.

Can you seriously type 200whatever words per minute?!?!?! That is incredible!!!! I saw your foot from a distance a while ago and I could totally see the bruising from yards away - I am so sorry - what a pain! Let me know if I can help!

Natalie,

I am sorry to hear about your foot--but your post made me chuckle! Thanks for the laugh--it sounds like something that would happen to me.

I have sprained my ankle a few times and it stinks. Once was during college, I lived south of Campus near Brick Oven. I had to do crutches up those stairs and the ramp in the snow. Though it was hard I think having it happen now would be worse! Good luck taking care of you boys and your ankle!

SO sorry about your foot. But I have to say I love your description of the UPS man's knock. I've also been rudely awakened from such a knock...not my finest moment either.
