New Additions

We have had some luck lately when it comes to new additions to our home. First Ben's parents decided to get a smaller table so we inherited their fantastic old one. It is the perfect size for our ever growing family.... if in size only. We are now able to have guests over and not relegate the boys to the bar. Much thanks to Ruth and Charlie. Our other table was holding on with duct tape!

The next addition wasn't really new. When we moved in there was a great bench in the backyard. It was very warped and rusty but somewhere I found my fix-it bone and went to work. Here are the before and after pictures. It may not be perfect... (I didn't get that gene in the family) but I like how it turned out.

Last is our wonderful old new piano. This piano fits in so well with our family. A little banged up, a little out of tune, but it has a lot of heart. It looks a lot like the piano I learned to play as a child. This morning I got out of the shower to music and singing coming from down stairs. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes and it was like being in my childhood home again only better because it was my kids singing. Music in the home is so important and we are thankful to the family in our ward that decided to by a baby grand and give us this beauty!

That's great, if only old kitchen tables and parlor pianos could talk then we'd learn a lot about our Family !
